Finding Magic In The Rainy Days
Finding the positive becomes a radical practice on these rainy days.
These moments coax from me an appreciation that’s sometimes hidden, but deeply embodied.
Listening… to the music of the rain, as it patters and splashes outside the house.
Watching… the clouds, the shifting shades of grey.
Enjoying…the comfort of shelter. A cosy sofa, a hot mug, a good movie.
Walking… in the elements, alive and connected (on purpose, dressed for the rain, not by accident).
Taking in… the scent of possibility. The world smells different after the rain; to me, it’s the promise of what comes next.
Some of these experiences are only available to us on the rainy days.
I wouldn’t want to miss out by not making myself available to them.
